Laser Treatments

VariLite™

The VariLite™ laser treats brown spots such as unwanted freckles and age spots. It also treats red spots and spider veins.  Over the course of a week after the treatment, brown spots darken, then flake, leaving a clean and even skin tone. Red veins/spots disappear immediately. It may take multiple treatments to fully clear an area with brown spots. The top layer of the skin remains intact.

During the treatment you will feel a mild pinching sensation. For up to one hour after treatment, there may be some redness.

Most people see a significant improvement after the first treatment.

Fraxel

Dr. Kenet offers two types of Fraxel---a milder treatment called Clear and Brilliant and a stronger level called Fraxel Dual. Both types of Fraxel are effective for;

- Fine lines and wrinkles – like crow’s feet and brow lines

- Surface scarring – erasing appearance of acne scars and other types of scarring (surgical, trauma, etc)

- Pigmentation – minimizing the appearance of age spots and other dark spots and freckles

- Minimizing Pores – a reduction in the appearance of pores

- Sun damage – helps to heal pre-cancerous skin damage/changes such Actinic Keratosis (AK),  a common skin condition related to sun exposure and aging.

One hour prior to the procedure, a numbing ointment will be applied. Fraxel treatments usually last between 15-45 minutes. Please plan to spend at least 2.5 hours in our office.

After your Fraxel, you can expect transient swelling and redness lasting for approximately 1-2 days. On the third day, your skin may feel dry, but resolves and softens by the end of the week.

Clear + Brilliant

To improve tone, texture and color, Clear + Brilliant, is a gentler quicker and milder version of Fraxel Dual. It requires less  numbing and reduces recovery time to a single day. It is a perfect complement to individual beauty and lifestyle regimens.

Most Clear + Brilliant patients report the sensation of a "light sunburn" immediately after treatment. This diminishes over the first evening.
